A Message from Douglas:

It has not been easy filling Dad's shoes for the past three weeks but I think I have done the best I possibly can. I’m always remembering everything Dad showed me, but one of many things I learned from Dad was to work with pride, work for God and with God at all times.
I thank God for giving Mom, Monica and me the strength (mentally and physically) to overcome and continue with the mission.
I thank God for my family, friends and church members who have helped us in many ways.
One can’t imagine the many things that are involved when a loved one passes away and add to that in a foreign country, but most of it is almost over.

Activity and Plans at MCCH:
*I ask your help in prayers for our upcoming (last minute) trip to my sisters (Martha) in Tyler Texas from the 1st   to the 14th of April.  This is a much needed trip for Mom and Martha since they were not able to be with us during these tough times.

*From the 9th to the 13th of April all the kids at the home are taking a trip around many places in the state of Queretaro.  It includes camping at river side camp, staying at a Hotel (many have never done) and enjoying a pool all for themselves. This has been possible through friends of ours from Joshua’s old school that have been so helpful to allow us to leave for the states.

*We now have all the kids in only three schools instead of four so that helps me to drive less. By August they will be in only two schools so Lord willing it will even be less driving. All this has been possible because of the school owners (that attend church) have decided to help us even more. Let me remind you this is a private school and they have not charged us a penny or I should say a peso.

*Monica and I have had our 16th Anniversary on the 24th of March and are grateful to God for letting us be together and also work on the same mission, as we know that where there are two in Christ there is great blessing .

A Message From Bev

I would like to thank each and every one of you for your prayers and support at this time. Most of all, I thank the Lord for the comfort he has given me. My plans are to continue the work here at the children’s home and do my best to help support my Son Douglas and his wife Monica for as long as God allows.
As for being Bob’s wife, he spoiled me rotten for 56 years. I always knew I was number two in his heart because God was always number one. Bob never said “This is my work here in Mexico.” but always praised and thanked God for letting us serve Him. He always said it was my responsibility to take care of our home and just be here for him.
I thank my children Dan and Debbie for taking a great load off our shoulders while they were here with us. Only God can repay them.
As for me and my house, we will continue to serve the Lord.  (Joshua 24:15 )

March 2012 Newsletter

Greetings to you for the month of March. Since my last letter we have had 3 birthdays. Chucho was 8 years old in January. Fernando was 13 in February. And Juan Carlos was 10 in March.

Chucho

Fernando

Juan Carlos

Douglas has been the unofficial leader of our Church here in Tlacote. Everyone looks to him and Monica for guidance in the church. Since we have started having the Church service here on the ranch, because of the work Douglas has put into the church work, it has grown to nearly 60 members. A church building was started and is nearing completion, paid for completely by the tithes of church members themselves. Last month we had two more baptisms.

Alberto is the fiancé of Beatriz, a girl we raised here at the Home. Alberto is a Music professor in several schools and is also giving our children music lessons each week. He has been working hard with the church members in the area of music. Daniela is the daughter of one of our members who was baptized last month.

My Dad passed away unexpectedly from a massive heart attack on the 8th of March 2012. I have decided not to change what he had already written in this newsletter. It was a shock for all of us and a great loss. This has happened so suddenly. Getting this newsletter out to you while planning a memorial service has been a challenge so please forgive its lateness. I promise (Lord willing) that next donation letter will be dedicated to Dad. Our promise to God and Dad was to continue with the mission work as long as your support continues.
Please visit our website at www.mcch.info for current up to date information about the home.

On Sunday March 11th a Memorial Service was held for Bob Wright. It was held at the new church building at the ranch. There were over 200 people in attendance. Douglas Wright lead the service and several of Bob's favorite songs were sung. Beverly, Dan, Debbie, Douglas, Martha and Andrea all presented a eulogy either in person or read by Doug.
The service was a celebration of the life of Bob Wright. It was a reminder of the life sacrificed for Christ and the reward of Heaven that waits us all.

The Wright family is grateful for the prayers and well wishes received these last few days.

Please continue to pray for Beverly and the family.

Over 200 people attend the memorial service.

It is with great sadness that I report to you the passing of Bob Wright.  On Thursday night my father passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack. The attempts that were made to revive him by both Douglas and the medics failed. Please pray for our family especially my mother Bev.  Debbie and I will be traveling to Mexico on the 11th to be with the family.
My father had no plans of ever leaving Mexico. His work and home was there for over 40 years. Now the Lord has a greater Mission for him and has called him home.
We will be posting updates on this web site to keep you informed.  Please pray for Douglas and Monica as they work on making the preparations for dad's memorial.
