NOVEMBER NEWSLETTER 2011

     Greetings to you for the month of November from all of us here at the Home. We want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year. We pray that the Lord will bless you for the coming year as he has blessed us here this year.

     We are very happy to announce to everyone that we now have a roof on our Church building. We have been working on the church building now for 7 years. All of the work is being done by members of the church. The work is being done only as the money is on hand. I want to point out that the church building has been built all from tithes and offerings from members of the church. No money has ever been raised from the States. The church has also been able to send $300.00 a month to missions. This is a church of about 40 members including children. This is proof that Mexican Churches can be self-supporting if they tithe.
   It is with sadness that we report to you that Mely, the girl who has been working with the Home for the past 7 years, will be leaving. Mely comes from a small village near the city of Matehuala, about 250 miles north of here. She will be returning home to help take care of her mother. She will be leaving in December right after school is out.  Please be praying that we find someone soon to replace her.

     Beto had his 15th birthday this month here at the Home. He has been here at the home for about 1 year now. We also have his two brothers, Max and Luis. Beto attends a private school and is in his 1st. year of Secondaria (Jr. High School).

     We all want to thank you for your help in prayers and financial donations for the past year. Please check out our web page at www.mcch.info

SEPTEMBER NEWSLETTER 2011

September 2011

Dear Friends;

     Greetings to you from all of us here at the Home. We are happy to report to you that we have a new boy in the Home. His name is Efriem and he is 7 years old. He was brought to us by DIF, who took him from his grandmother. He has a very sad background. The grandmother would put him in a hole in the ground that was a foundation basement for a new house. It was deep enough that he could not get out without a ladder. Sometimes she would put him in it and go to town all day. Many times he even had to sleep there at night. The neighbors reported her and DIF came and picked the boy up. He is adjusting very well to his new home and is enjoying his first year in school.

     All of our kids are now back in school. We have 13 kids in 5 different schools. We have 3 in Kindergarten, 2 in Primary, 3 in a slow learners Primary, 4 in Secondaria, 1 in open University. We still have Eliazar at home. We have a time with taking them and picking them up. Our gas bill will be high this year for sure.

     On Saturday, Sept. 3, we were able to install all the trusses and steel supports for the roof of the Church. 5 of us worked from 7 AM till 5 PM. All of us were praying for a not to hot of a day. The night before it rained all night but stopped by 4 in the morning. It turned out to be a cloudy day with no sun or wind. We had rented a 25 ton crane to pick up the 6 trusses that weighed about 1000 Lbs. If you want to see more pictures of the work go to our web page www.mcch.info  under Church in Tlacote. The roof is now ready for the panels to be installed.

     We would like for you to look at our new web page at www.mcch.info to read about the history of the Home and for more pictures of the Kids and the construction of the Church building. There is a feature that will allow you to put in your email address. Then when we make any addition to the page you will receive an email telling you that new information has been added. That way you do not have to keep checking the page. It is at the top right hand corner of the first page.

     We thank you for all your prayers and financial support you have given to the Home.

AUGUST NEWSLETTER 2011

August 2011

Dear Friends;

     My apologies for not having sent out emails or slow mail to anyone for the past month. No emails because I have not been able to get my computer to send. I have just now got that taken care of. No slow mail because we have not had the money to buy the stamps to send them from Mexico.  It cost 1.00 per letter from here.

     I (Bob) have recovered about 99% from my Kidney removal operation. I am back to doing my normal work load and I am able to pick up heavy things now without any pain. I sometimes have a little pain around where the incision was made. Last month I had a chest x-ray and the doctor found a small spot on my lungs that he is watching closely. I will have another x-ray taken in Sept. to see if it has grown any. I thank each person who has been praying for my recovery.

     We have a new design to our web page that we are trying out that our son, Dan, set up for us. You can go to it at, www.mcch.info. Check it out when you have time. Let me know if there is something that you would like to see on it. We will be putting more pictures on when things happen here at the Home. We pray this will keep you more up to date on the Home. We are also on Facebook and you can join us there at, Bob Wright (Mexico Christian Children’s Home). If you cannot find us at that address, just put in our email address.

     We are so happy to report that the roof beams that Douglas and I have been working on for several months now are finished. We had to make 6 beams and each one weighs about 1000 lbs. We have moved them from our shop area down to the church property. We now have to figure a way to get them up on the walls.

     On July 23nd, Bev and I celebrated our 56th wedding anniversary. This month on August 12th we will be celebrating 42 years of serving our Lord here in Mexico, and the founding of Mexico Christian Children’s Home.

     All of us here at the Home thank you for your many years of prayer and support of the Home. May god bless you for this as He has blessed us here in Mexico.

In His Service;
